Continuous Miner Operator

Job Description

As a Continuous Miner Operator, you will play a crucial role in our underground mining operations. You will operate and maintain the continuous miner machine, collaborating closely with the mining team to ensure efficient and safe extraction of minerals. This role requires a safety-focused mindset, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate heavy machinery under challenging conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the continuous miner operations to ensure efficient extraction.
• Conduct pre-use equipment inspections and report discrepancies.
• Implement safety measures during all operational phases in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain communication with team members for operational efficiency.
• Help develop methods for enhancing mining processes.
• Keep detailed records of activities, machinery performance, and maintenance.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues during operations.
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as delegated.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Underground Coal Mining Operations or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in underground coal mines preferred, particularly with continuous miner machinery.

• Working in Remote Locations: Willingness or previous experience working on challenging sites or isolated locations.
