Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Crane Helper to join our dynamic team at ABC Crane Services in Sydney. This crucial role involves assisting crane operators with lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment on various job sites. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Aid in crane set-up and operation amidst various types of terrain.
• Monitor load balance and stability before lifting.
• Assist in implementing safety measures at the site.
• Collaborate with site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain equipment logs and documents as necessary.
• Assist in troubleshooting and minor repairs of cranes.
• Participate actively in team safety drills and training.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment and materials.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team and management.
• Report any discrepancies in job performance to the supervisor.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in construction or as a crane helper.

Technical Skills

• Material handling
• Safety protocols

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Dogging License
• Rigging License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid training: Basic First Aid certification is preferred.
• Forklift operation experience: Experience operating forklifts can be a plus.
