Job Description

As an Animal Control Worker, you will be responsible for enforcing local animal control laws and regulations, conducting inspections, and responding to complaints regarding animal welfare. This role requires a blend of compassion and assertiveness, as you will deal with various public interactions and situations involving animals.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol designated areas to monitor and control stray animal populations.
  • Assist in community outreach programs regarding animal welfare.
  • Investigate reported animal neglect or cruelty complaints.
  • Coordinate with veterinary services for health checks and euthanasia, if necessary.
  • Work with local shelters to facilitate adoptions and rescues.
  • Prepare reports for court if legal action is required against animal cruelty cases.
