Prepress Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Prepress Technician to join our creative team. You will be responsible for formatting text and images for print and digital publications, ensuring that all outputs meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop layouts for various print and digital publications.
• Work with designers to translate concepts into actionable designs.
• Perform preflight checks on files to ensure printing readiness.
• Conduct final adjustments based on client feedback.
• Assist in managing printing job schedule and workflow.
• Maintain organized project files for easy access.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills.
• Support team members in design-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Graphic Design or related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in graphic design or typesetting

Technical Skills

• QuarkXPress
• Adobe Creative Suite

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Problem Solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management tools: Familiarity with tools like Trello or Asana for workflow management.
• Knowledge of colour theories and print standards: Understanding of CMYK and Pantone colour systems.
