Job Description

As a Sewer Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for laying and installing sewer pipes at commercial and residential construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, blueprints, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Excavate trenches and prepare the site for pipe installation.
• Install and connect different types of sewer pipes, ensuring proper alignment and grade.
• Monitor work site for safety hazards and enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct regular maintenance on tools and machinery.
• Assist other team members with heavy lifting and site logistics.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in installing sewer pipes

Technical Skills

• Strong attention to detail

Certifications

• White Card certification
• Drivers License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with trenchless sewer installation techniques: Familiarity with methods that reduce surface disruption.
• Experience with different types of sewer systems such as gravity and pressure: Ability to adapt installation techniques to various systems.
