Skidway Worker

Job Description

As a Skidway Worker, you will ensure safe and efficient operation of skidway equipment, conduct regular maintenance, and manage the movement of logs and materials in various terrains.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-operation checks on equipment.
• Safely load and secure logs onto trucks for transport.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on skidway machinery.
• Work closely with other crew members and facilitate teamwork.
• Document daily operations and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and promote sustainability.
• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage in ongoing training to improve skills and safety awareness.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3-5 years in a similar role within forestry or logging

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Safety Protocol Compliance

Soft Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
