Job Description

The Environmental Conflict Manager will oversee and mediate conflicts arising between environmental concerns and development activities. This role requires in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to negotiate and mediate complex issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design frameworks for effective resolution of environmental conflicts.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify goals and concerns regarding environmental issues.
  • Advise on best practices for sustainable development.
  • Conduct research and analyze data pertinent to environmental conflicts.
  • Mentor staff on negotiation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Lead workshops and training on environmental policy and conflict management.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational objectives on sustainability.
  • Review and update policies related to environmental conflict management.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in environmental management or conflict resolution.
