Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Broach Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating broaching machines to produce precision parts for a range of industries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes are efficient and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor broaching machines to produce high-quality components.
• Select and install the correct cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on machines.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and adjustments.
• Work closely with quality control to ensure products meet specifications.
• Foster a collaborative work environment by supporting team members.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification as a Machinist or Toolmaker
• Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering is a plus

Experience

• Experience with multiple types of broaching machines is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Measuring tools operation
• Lean Manufacturing Principles

Soft Skills

• Flexibility
• Time Management

Certifications

• Forklift License
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Lean principles: Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles for process optimization.
• Prior supervisory experience: Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting is an advantage.
