Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Grinding, Lapping, Polishing, and Buffing Machine Tool Setter to join our skilled manufacturing team. The right candidate will leverage their expertise to operate machinery that produces high-quality cylinder components for a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

• Utilise precision measuring instruments to confirm component specifications.
• Assess and enhance machining processes to increase efficiency and product quality.
• Keep work areas organised and adhere to cleanliness standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure production flow.
• Engage in safety training and enforce workplace safety protocols.
• Contribute to the training of new employees on machinery operation.
• Experiment with new materials and techniques to improve production quality.
• Gather feedback from QA on product consistency and quality improvements.
• Maintain machinery and ensure tools are in good working order.
• Work towards achieving daily and weekly production goals.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in machining or technical training preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
