Job Description

As a Shearer Operator, you will be crucial in efficiently managing the shearing process, ensuring high-quality wool production while adhering to safety standards. Your expertise in operating and maintaining shearing machinery will be essential to our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shearing operations and maintain high standards of wool quality.
  • Monitor the performance and efficiency of shearing equipment.
  • Conduct post-shearing checks to ensure the wellbeing of the animals.
  • Coordinate with the farm manager on production goals and schedules.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving shearing processes.
  • Assist in maintaining shearing records for future reference.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to during shearing sessions.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in the agricultural or wool handling sector.
