Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Portable Sawmill Operator to manage the operation of our sawmill equipment, ensuring high-quality processing of timber materials while following stringent safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate portable sawmill machinery to cut logs into lumber.
• Ensure equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
• Adjust sawmill settings according to the dimensions needed.
• Monitor the quality of lumber produced and make adjustments as necessary.
• Document all logs processed, including size and type.
• Assist in training new operators in equipment operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise during production.
• Follow environmental guidelines to reduce waste and ensure sustainability.
• Evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Timber Processing or related field preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in timber processing.

Languages

• English: Fluent
