Special Education Teacher - Kindergarten

Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher for Kindergarten, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with learning disabilities. Your collaboration with families and school staff will be vital in ensuring effective communication and support.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and modify IEPs based on student progress and feedback.
• Establish positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional growth.
• Manage classroom behaviour to create a conducive learning environment.
• Conduct workshops for parents about supporting their children’s learning.
• Collaborate with external specialists and support services to provide comprehensive support.
• Document and maintain records related to student assessments and progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Master's degree in Special Education preferred

Experience

• Experience in primary education is advantageous.
