Job Description

Join us as an Orchestra Teacher, where you will inspire students in playing orchestral instruments and guide them in developing their musicianship. Your role will be pivotal in planning rehearsals and preparing students for various performances throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ensemble rehearsals for students, ensuring preparedness for upcoming concerts.
  • Provide individual instruction and support to students in mastering their instruments.
  • Maintain a positive and motivating classroom atmosphere to inspire learning.
  • Regularly assess students' progress and provide tailored feedback.
  • Coordinate with the music department on curriculum and programming.
  • Organize community engagement opportunities to showcase student talents.
  • Develop resources and materials to assist in student learning and growth.
  • Promote a culture of creativity and collaboration among students.
  • Actively participate in music department initiatives and events.
  • Conduct workshops or masterclasses on specific topics in music performance.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or similar field
  • Master's degree in Music is a plus
Experience
  • At least 2 years of teaching or conducting experience in orchestral settings
