Diesel Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting diesel engines and associated systems. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of diesel engine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Develop and improve maintenance procedures for efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior engineers in diesel mechanics.
• Provide technical support to clients and team members.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational qualification
• Additional qualifications may be advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Maintenance
• Hydraulic Systems

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Forklift Operator License
• Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with troubleshooting advanced engine systems: Ability to troubleshoot advanced engine management systems is a plus.
• Previous experience in a workshop environment: Experience working in a mechanical workshop is preferred.
