Warehouse Manager

Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager who will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Wangaratta. The successful candidate will ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products, while managing a dedicated team of warehouse staff. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential for this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining quality control, meeting safety standards, and optimising our storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations by overseeing the team and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Coordinate receiving, storage, and distribution activities to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control processes.
• Develop and implement warehouse operational policies and procedures.
• Train new employees in operational procedures and safety measures.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory and operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet overall logistics objectives.
• Resolve any customer issues related to warehouse operations.
• Use warehouse management software to track and manage inventory effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Master's in Business Administration preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing warehouse or supply chain operations

Technical Skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Advantageous

• Certifications in Supply Chain Management (CSCP): Preferred certification in supply chain management.
• Experience with Lean Warehouse Principles: Familiarity with Lean principles to optimize processes.
