Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Kiln Pusher to be an integral part of our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining kiln equipment, ensuring the production of materials meets high standards. Your keen attention to detail will be essential in monitoring kiln operations, and you will work collaboratively with our skilled team to optimise efficiency and safety. Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of kiln equipment, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Follow procedural guidelines to ensure safe operation of kiln equipment.
  • Participate in production meetings to discuss performance and strategies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kiln area to promote safety.
  • Monitor fuel usage and manage consumption for operational efficiency.
  • Provide feedback on kiln operation improvements based on observations.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance checks and assist technicians when necessary.
  • Engage in team-building activities to strengthen workplace cohesion.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices related to kiln operations.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Trade qualification in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in kiln operations
