Job Description

As a Structural Metal Fabricator at Structural Metalworks Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in shaping and assembling metal components for a variety of construction projects. Your expertise in interpreting blueprints and working with different metals will ensure the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and manipulate metals in accordance with blueprints.
• Utilize welding equipment and tools (MIG, TIG, arc welders, etc.) effectively.
• Join and weld metal parts together based on project requirements.
• Assist in the installation and on-site assembly of metalwork as required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of metalworking techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification or equivalent certification in Metal Fabrication

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in related fields.

Technical Skills

• Welding techniques
• Machinery operation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Forklift License (desirable)
• Safety and compliance training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of machinery maintenance: Ability to maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment.
• Experience with AutoCAD: Familiarity with CAD software for technical drawing adjustments.
