Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Cairns team. The ideal candidate will contribute to various projects focused on mechanical system design, analysis, and implementation. You will work in a collaborative environment where innovative ideas are highly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software.
• Evaluate designs through simulations and stress testing.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers for material selection.
• Manage timelines and deliverables on engineering projects.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide feedback.
• Document design processes and maintain project records.
• Assist in developing project proposals and budgets.
• Support production teams with assembly issues when needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical design and development

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
