Job Description

As a Fish and Game Warden, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the protection of wildlife and the enforcement of regulations. Your duties will include managing local wildlife populations, conducting inspections, and collaborating with community stakeholders to promote conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of wildlife conservation programs in the region.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with wildlife control and management.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement to address wildlife-related violations.
  • Perform regular inspections of controlled wildlife areas.
  • Assist in habitat restoration initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain records and reports of wildlife observations and activities.
  • Support training initiatives for new staff and volunteers in wildlife management.
  • Collaborate with researchers on data collection and analysis.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diploma in Environmental Science or Wildlife Management preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in wildlife management or pest control.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with GIS mapping software
  • Proficiency in operating wildlife cameras and traps
Soft Skills

Certifications
  • Wildlife First Responder Course
  • Chainsaw Safety Certification
Languages
