Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Outdoor Emergency Care Technician (OEC Tech) to deliver essential emergency medical services in a variety of outdoor settings. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and care of individuals participating in our adventure programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for participants in case of emergencies.
• Help facilitate evacuations and ensure timely medical assistance.
• Participate in pre-activity briefings to ascertain participant readiness.
• Advise on outdoor safety and emergency preparedness to participants.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of medical supplies.
• Ensure environment is safe and conditions are suitable for activities.
• Document all incidents accurately and efficiently.
• Evaluate and continuously improve emergency care practices.
• Engage with local health services for referrals and support.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant tertiary qualification in health sciences or emergency management is preferable.
• OEC Technician certification and CPR/First Aid certification are mandatory.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in outdoor emergency care or related field.
