Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Switchboard Operator to manage incoming calls, direct them to appropriate personnel, and provide assistance as needed. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and multitasking, helping to ensure smooth operations in our telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming phone communications professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure all calls are answered within the expected time frame.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to callers based on their needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve call management processes.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development tasks.
  • Stay updated with company policies and procedures to assist callers effectively.
  • Address any technical issues with the switchboard system as they arise.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service Manager to enhance service standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher education qualification in business or communications preferred
Experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in customer service or a similar role preferred.
