Job Description

As a Delinquency Prevention Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people at risk of criminal involvement. Your focus will be on providing guidance, developing intervention strategies, and fostering positive behaviours within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate resources and referrals for families in need.
  • Provide outreach services to engage hard-to-reach youth.
  • Develop community partnerships to enhance service delivery.
  • Lead training sessions for community volunteers on effective strategies for youth support.
  • Create educational materials to promote awareness of youth issues in the community.
  • Focus on building resilience in young people through positive reinforcement.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
Experience
  • Experience in developing and implementing prevention programs.
