Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our Geelong team. The ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure projects and possess strong analytical skills to assess and solve engineering challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs and calculations that comply with Australian standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders and management.
• Conduct material testing and analysis to recommend suitable construction materials.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications for bidding and procurement.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them through project responsibilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Microsoft Project

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Leadership

Certifications

• Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with local environmental policies: Knowledge of local regulations affecting civil engineering projects.
• Experience in traffic engineering: Background in transportation planning and traffic flow analysis.
