Job Description

Join our Melbourne team as a Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, or Tender. In this role, you'll operate and maintain advanced woodworking machinery to produce quality wooden products, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate various woodworking machines while ensuring optimal performance.
• Evaluate machine performance and execute adjustments to enhance efficiency.
• Perform inspections on machine outputs to ensure alignment with quality standards.
• Maintain production logs and communicate issues to the management team.
• Foster a teamwork environment by collaborating with other operators.
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance.
• Engage in training sessions for skill enhancement and safety protocol updates.
• Actively participate in safety drills and adhere to workplace safety standards.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in woodworking or machinery operation is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience operating industrial machinery in a woodworking setting.
