We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Bendigo team. In this role, you'll assist clients in understanding their tax obligations, providing guidance on tax planning strategies, and ensuring accurate compliance with legislation. Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure their tax affairs are well-managed.
• Conduct thorough audits of client accounts to ensure compliance.
• Work with clients to provide strategic tax planning advice.
• Educate clients on tax benefits and incentives applicable to them.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all transactions.
• Develop tailored tax strategies to optimise client positions.
• Drive the continuous improvement of internal tax processes and client service routines.
• Oversee junior team members and assist with their professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree or higher-level qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax consulting or similar roles

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Registered Tax Agent

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Accounting Software: Familiarity with MYOB, Xero, or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with GST and BAS: Understanding of Goods and Services Tax and Business Activity Statement preparation.
