Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our dynamic team in Coffs Harbour. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with taxation regulations. You will assist clients in navigating complex tax issues, helping them maximize their tax efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Actively prepare tax returns and provide strategic tax planning advice.
• Research and interpret tax regulations and assist clients in compliance.
• Review tax documents submitted by clients for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance knowledge.
• Help develop internal policies and tax-related resources.
• Work collaboratively with financial advisers to coordinate client services.
• Prepare reports for internal and external reviews.
• Monitor tax compliance deadlines to prevent penalties.
• Assist with the integration of new tax software and systems.
• Engage in community outreach or seminars to promote our services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation or MBA is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in tax consulting

• Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)
