Claims Staff Appraiser

Job Description

The Claims Staff Appraiser will be responsible for assessing property damages and determining the value of insurance claims. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a sound understanding of insurance principles. You will work closely with policyholders, insurance adjusters, and contractors to ensure claims are processed efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assess property claims and estimate damages based on inspections.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders involved in the claims process.
• Review policies and claims to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Assist clients with the documentation process and provide updates on claim status.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the claims department.
• Document and report discrepancies or issues encountered during the appraisal process.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Building and Construction or similar

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in assessing property claims, preferably in the insurance or construction industry

Technical Skills

Certifications

• Insurance Institute of Australia

Languages

• English: Fluent
