Job Description

As a Train Clerk, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our railway services. Your responsibilities will include assisting passengers with ticketing, providing information on schedules, and helping ensure a smooth operation at the station. You’ll be the friendly face that supports our customers in planning their journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Sell train tickets and process customer transactions efficiently.
  • Provide detailed information on train schedules and route options.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries effectively.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of ticketing systems and perform reconciliations.
  • Support train operations by maintaining communication with drivers and station staff.
  • Assist with cash handling and sales reporting.
  • Keep the ticketing area clean and welcoming.
  • Help passengers with boarding processes and luggage support.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines during service delivery.
  • Work with team members to promote a courteous and efficient travel environment.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate in Travel and Tourism or Hospitality is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in ticketing or travel planning is a bonus
