Environmental Geologist

Job Description

As an Environmental Geologist, you will conduct investigations and assessments to address environmental issues while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Your role will be critical in developing effective remediation plans and providing scientific advice to clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping and analysis to inform assessments.
• Collect and analyze soil, water, and air samples to assess environmental conditions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Design environmental monitoring programs as necessary.
• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate geological data into assessments.
• Engage in project meetings to discuss progress and next steps.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with environmental compliance.
• Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices.
• Assist in training junior staff on environmental assessment techniques.
• Provide technical support during project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental geology or related fields

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
