We seek a skilled Petrophysicist to analyse and interpret geological data, supporting oil and gas exploration and production projects. You will collaborate closely with geologists, engineers, and related professionals to optimise well placement. Your role will be critical in providing insights into reservoir properties and performance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct petrophysical analysis of well logs and core samples to evaluate reservoir properties.
  • Interpret and integrate geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to construct geological models.
  • Provide technical support to drilling and production teams for optimisation.
  • Monitor and manage risks associated with drilling and extraction activities.
  • Identify opportunities for further exploration and development in field projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in project execution.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development related to petrophysical techniques.
  • Present analyses and insights during team meetings and technical reviews.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Petrophysical analysis techniques Proficient in techniques for evaluating reservoir properties.
  • Software proficiency Experienced in PETRA, Techlog, Interactive Petrophysics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Data interpretation Highly skilled in analysing geological and engineering data.
  • Strong analytical skills Exceptional ability in evaluating complex data sets.
  • Communication skills Strong proficiency in articulating findings to diverse audiences.
  • Team collaboration Skilled in working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Membership in relevant professional organisations (e.g., SPE, AAPG)
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience with data science and machine learning techniques: Hands-on experience in applying data analytics to geological datasets.
  • Geostatistical modelling experience: Ability to create and work with geostatistical models for reservoir evaluation.
