Job Description

As a Podiatric Technician, you'll play a vital role in assisting Podiatrists with foot and ankle care. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for procedures, collecting medical histories, and conducting initial assessments. Join a dedicated team providing exceptional podiatry services.

Responsibilities

  • Support Podiatrists in the diagnosis and treatment of foot-related issues.
  • Gather patient medical histories and perform thorough foot assessments.
  • Assist in the application of orthotics and support devices.
  • Provide education and resources about foot care to patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the treatment area.
  • Prepare patients for surgeries and enquiries related to their conditions.
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure necessary supplies are on hand.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve care services.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Podiatric Assisting or related field
  • Experience in multidisciplinary healthcare settings is preferred
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in podiatry or a related clinical environment
Technical Skills
  • Orthotic device fitting
Soft Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills
Certifications
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
