Explosives Worker / Bomb Technician

Job Description

As an Explosives Worker (Bomb Technician), you will be responsible for the safe and effective disposal of explosive devices, including IEDs and bombs. Collaborating closely with law enforcement and other agencies, you will assess threats, neutralize explosives, and conduct post-blast investigations, ensuring the safety of both our team and the public.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate bomb threat scenarios and manage response strategies.
• Utilize advanced equipment for bomb disposal and detection.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services to coordinate responses.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on safety protocols and procedures.
• Implement risk assessment measures for various explosive threats.
• Review and improve current operating procedures regularly.
• Assist in the assessment of new technologies for potential use in operations.
• Maintain a high degree of physical fitness to handle operational demands.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant tertiary qualification in security, safety, or similar field

Experience

• Experience working in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
