Responsibilities

• Write in-depth stories and news articles based on investigative work.
• Foster relationships with sources and industry experts.
• Create content for digital and print formats.
• Stay updated with trends and developments in the media landscape.
• Assist in the development of multimedia content, including videos and podcasts.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss editorial direction and upcoming stories.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior reporters when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in journalism or media

Technical Skills

• Video production and editing skills
• Familiarity with digital marketing strategies

Soft Skills

• Creative thinking
• Strong interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Google Analytics Certified
• HubSpot Content Marketing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with data journalism: Ability to analyse and interpret data for storytelling.
• Past mentoring experience: Experience mentoring or managing junior writers is a plus.
