Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Back Tender to support our sugar milling operations by managing the flow of cane into the crushing mills. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will play a key role in our production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of multiple systems including kilns and driers.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance on equipment.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure a smooth operation.
• Record operational data and report production metrics.
• Support other operators as needed during peak production times.
• Uphold workplace hygiene and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical field is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Experience with hydraulic systems
• Computerized control systems

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a similar role: Prior experience as a Back Tender or in a similar manufacturing position.
• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical field: A formal qualification would be beneficial.
• Experience with hydraulic systems: Familiarity with the operation of hydraulic machinery.
• Computerized control systems experience: Experience with operating machinery controlled by computer systems.
