Policy Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Policy Analyst to analyse and evaluate policies that affect community life. In this role, you'll conduct research, provide strategic recommendations, and support government initiatives aimed at enhancing public welfare.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform policy decisions.
• Generate impactful reports summarising findings for policymakers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster innovative policy solutions.
• Evaluate policy effectiveness and recommend adjustments.
• Draft submissions and reports for government submissions.
• Organise and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities.
• Interpreting complex data and distilling it into clear actionable insights.
• Provide advisory support to the Director of Policy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Policy Studies, Social Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Administration or similar is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in public administration or policy analysis

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software (e.g., R, SPSS)
• GIS Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Public Consultation: Previous involvement in engaging stakeholders and public consultation processes.
• Knowledge of Economic Analysis: Understanding economic impacts related to public policy.
