Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Policy Analyst to join our team in Canberra. In this role, you will conduct research and analysis on various public policies to support the development and evaluation of programs. Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop public policy recommendations based on comprehensive analysis.
  • Draft policy papers, briefing notes, and background reports.
  • Conduct statistical and qualitative analysis to support policy evaluations.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and community organisations.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and suggest improvements.
  • Stay informed on current trends and issues in public administration.
  • Attend public hearings and provide expert testimony when required.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and advisors.
  • Participate in stakeholder consultations to gather input on policy development.
  • Provide advice to senior management on public policy implications.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in policy analysis or public administration
