Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to support our diverse projects in Ballarat. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices, working closely with teams to develop innovative solutions for ecological challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact assessments related to specific projects and initiatives.
• Research and stay updated on environmental regulations and trends.
• Assist in developing environmental policies and sustainability strategies.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and community consultation processes.
• Conduct site visits and field assessments as needed.
• Implement strategies for waste reduction and resource conservation.
• Support project managers in complying with environmental standards.
• Draft proposals for environmental monitoring and improvement projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental assessment and management

• Environmental Auditing

• Client Relations

Certifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
• Environmental Compliance Professional (ECP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead project teams and mentor junior staff.
