Job Description

As a Psychiatric Aide, you'll play a crucial role in supporting patients with mental health conditions. You will assist them in their daily activities, offer emotional support, and work alongside healthcare professionals to promote a safe and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Help patients engage in daily living skills, ensuring they receive necessary support.
• Track changes in patient conditions and communicate with medical staff promptly.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities to promote patient wellness.
• Uphold confidentiality and maintain patient dignity at all times.
• Assist in crisis situations by following established protocols.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
• Provide feedback to assist in the improvement of patient care services.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Mental Health or Health Services Assistance
• First Aid and CPR Certifications

Experience

• Prior experience in healthcare or mental health settings is desirable.
