Athletics Director

Job Description

The Athletics Director will oversee the management and development of all athletic programs and activities within the university. This position demands exceptional leadership skills and a profound understanding of sports management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction of athletic programs to enhance student-athlete development.
• Supervise and mentor coaching staff to build effective teams.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders and sponsors.
• Implement training programs that align with best practices in sports management.
• Conduct evaluations and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage all health and safety protocols in compliance with governing bodies.
• Advise and assist in recruitment efforts of student-athletes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in athletic administration or related field

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with fundraising: Proven experience in fundraising and sponsorship acquisition.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations: Familiarity with NCAA or equivalent regulations in sports.
