Job Description

As a Fabrication Set-Up Person, you will be essential in preparing and setting up machinery and equipment for various fabrication processes. Your role will ensure a smooth workflow and efficient production within our fabrication department. You will interpret technical drawings and collaborate with skilled craftsmen to optimize production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up fabrication equipment, tools, and machinery for production.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to meet production standards.
• Operate various fabrication machinery to produce components accurately.
• Adjust machinery settings according to project requirements.
• Work with team members to address and resolve production challenges.
• Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations diligently.
• Support the onboarding of new fabrication personnel.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
• Valid Forklift License (preferred)

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean principles to improve efficiency.
