Job Description

As an Election Judge, you will play a vital role in overseeing the polling station during elections. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that voting proceeds smoothly, fairly, and transparently. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the capability to handle unexpected situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage the setup and operation of the polling station on election day.
• Authenticate voters' identification and provide assistance in the voting process.
• Ensure compliance with electoral laws and guidelines.
• Handle disputes or challenges from voters with professionalism.
• Summarize and report results at the end of the election.
• Attend mandatory training sessions for preparation.
• Maintain a calm and respectful environment for voters.
• Document incidents and maintain confidentiality of voter information.
• Facilitate a smooth flow of voters throughout the polling period.

Requirements

Education

• Some college education preferred

Experience

• Familiarity with electoral processes is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certifications in electoral management: Relevant certifications relating to electoral processes are a plus.
