Job Description

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all flexible endoscopes are cleaned, disinfected, and ready for safe patient use. You will collaborate with a committed team to maintain our high standards of infection control and reprocessing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established protocols for cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on all equipment.
• Document maintenance of endoscopes and equipment as per regulatory requirements.
• Support the development of policies pertaining to reprocessing and safety.
• Provide education on best practices in endoscope handling.
• Engage in audits and inspections of reprocessing processes.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure optimal patient safety.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing
• Training in Infection Control is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with high-level disinfection
• Understanding of medical terminology

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Ability to follow procedures

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in a hospital setting: Prior experience in a healthcare facility that supports reprocessing activities.
