Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Remelter, where you'll be integral in processing scrap metals into high-quality products. With a focus on safety and efficiency, you'll operate melting equipment and conduct quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various furnaces for melting metals.
• Control and monitor the flow of materials into the melting process.
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Record production data and report on metal quality and yield.
• Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety protocols.
• Assist in training new staff on equipment and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in welding or metalworking is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant experience in the metal recycling industry.

Technical Skills

• Furnace operation
• Metal refining processes
• Quality control

Certifications

• Forklift license
• Safety training certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with heavy machinery: Familiarity with operating and maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
