Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced General Internal Medicine Physician to join our esteemed medical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality healthcare services, focusing on diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient care for both acute illnesses and chronic healthcare conditions.
  • Perform thorough physical examinations and assessments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical advancements and best practices.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
  • Participate in medical team meetings and case discussions.
  • Instruct and mentor junior staff and medical students as necessary.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans based on medical guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain strong patient-doctor relationships.
  • Research and contribute to clinical studies or healthcare protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists to optimize patient care pathways.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Current registration with AHPRA required
  • Specialist qualifications highly regarded
Experience
  • 5+ years in a relevant clinical environment.
