Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled Grinding, Lapping, Polishing, and Buffing Machine Tool Setters, Operators, and Tenders for our Melbourne facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for honing and finishing metal and plastic components to stringent specifications, ensuring optimal quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools to grind, lap, polish, and buff metal and plastic materials.
• Conduct quality inspections on components to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Keep equipment and workspaces clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist in the training of new operators on machine setups and operations.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Document daily work activities and report production metrics to supervisors.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Advanced trade qualifications in machining are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in metal and plastic finishing operations

Technical Skills

• CNC machine operation
• Tool maintenance

Certifications

• Quality Control Certification
• Advanced Safety Protocol Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CNC programming: Knowledge of CNC programming to enhance machining capabilities.
