As an Optician at our Melbourne store, you will provide essential support in the dispensing of eyewear, ensuring that every customer receives personalized attention and the perfect fit. You will work closely with optometrists and customers to meet their needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare staff to enhance patient care.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest optical technologies.
• Educate customers on lens options and eyewear choices.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing
• Registration with the Optometry Board of Australia

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in optical dispensing

Technical Skills

• Optical theory
• Optical equipment operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in languages other than English: Having skills in other languages is a plus for better client interaction.
