Job Description

The Medical Billing Coder will play a crucial role in our healthcare organization, ensuring accurate coding and processing of medical bills. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, helping to ensure all claims are coded correctly and promptly billed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code medical services using appropriate coding systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to rectify any discrepancies in medical billing.
• Manage incoming inquiries related to billing and coding from patients and healthcare providers.
• Assist in the training of new staff on coding practices and compliance issues.
• Continuously update knowledge of coding regulations and practices to maintain accuracy.

Requirements

Education

• Australian Certification in Medical Billing and Coding
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field is a plus

Experience

• Experience working in a healthcare setting or medical billing company
