Credit Analyst

Job Description

As a Credit Analyst, you will evaluate credit applications, analyse financial data, and provide insights regarding creditworthiness. You'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with lending policies while working closely with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses of financial statements and other financial data.
• Evaluate credit applications based on established criteria.
• Collaborate with lending departments to facilitate loan approvals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and contribute insights regarding credit policies.
• Provide training and support to less experienced team members.
• Prepare presentations for senior management on credit analysis findings.
• Implement risk management strategies in credit assessments.
• Identify trends in credit risk and recommend appropriate action.
• Compile and present regular reports on credit portfolio performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Experience

• Experience in financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience dealing with regulatory bodies: Hands-on experience working with bodies like APRA and ASIC.
