Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Fire Regulator who will ensure that buildings comply with fire safety regulations. The ideal candidate will conduct inspections, issue permits, and provide vital advice to building owners and occupants, promoting fire safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections to ensure buildings meet fire safety compliance.
- Work with local authorities to coordinate fire safety initiatives.
- Audit existing fire protection systems and recommend upgrades.
- Collaborate on fire safety training programs for staff and clients.
- Research and apply best practices in fire safety management.
- Assess risk factors and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports on fire safety inspections and audits.
- Engage with community members to educate them about fire prevention.
- Assist in emergency planning and response efforts.
- Contribute to the development of fire safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education
- Australian Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing
- Australian Certificate IV in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (desirable)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in fire safety inspections and regulation
