Clarifier Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clarifier Operator to manage and upkeep our water treatment facilities. In this role, you'll oversee the clarifiers, adjusting flow rates and chemical dosages to enhance efficiency. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, ensuring that we meet our operational targets while adhering to environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor clarifiers to ensure efficient separation of solid particles from liquids.
• Adjust flow rates, chemical dosages, and other parameters to optimise clarifier performance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of clarifier operations, maintenance activities, and process parameters.
• Conduct regular inspections and adjustments of the clarifier systems.
• Collaborate with the water treatment team to enhance process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in training new employees in clarifier operations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements and share knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or diploma in water treatment or related field preferred

Experience

• Prior experience operating and maintaining clarifiers or similar equipment in an industrial setting is desired.
